Freighting is done in place of shipping(FedEx, US Mail, UPS, DHL) when the goods are large enough.

For shipping letters US Mail is the best option. For shipping small to medium packages UPS is the best option. For very fast service of small to medium packages or overnight service of envelopes and letters FedEx is the best option.

When you need to ship a small to medium sized package.
How long should I expect to wait to get a package sent via UPS?
UPS Ground takes 1-6 business days depending on how far the package needs to go.

When you need your items very quickly (1-3 days).
How long should I expect to wait to get a package sent via FedEx?
FedEx offers overnight shiping, 2-day shipping, and 3 day shipping.

USPS

What does USPS stand for?
United States Postal Service
When should I use USPS?
You should use USPS when you're shipping letters or envelopes and you don't mind waiting a few days for delivery. US Mail is the cheapest option for sending letters and evelopes.

What is car shipping?
Car shipping is commonly known as auto transport. It is the hauling of automobiles on trailers specifically made for vehicles.
Who should I trust to ship my car?
For car shipping there are no giant names like UPS or FedEx. Instead, car shipping is done primarily by owner-operators(they own the transport company and drive the truck) who ship vehicles on fixed routes. These owner-operators rely on brokers to bring them business. They do not advertise themselves, so the easiest way to get your car shipped is to hire a broker who will find a driver for you and take care of the logistics. In general, finding a driver yourself for your particular route is very difficult.
